Uncontainable Laughter

Hello Ewan,

You've developed this laughter that is like a wild fire - once ignited, it goes on and on. This phenomenon starts when you see or hear silliness, like an odd expression on my face or a funny noise. I pretend that you "got me" at something and that would usually trigger you. Of course, I enjoy seeing this spontaneous outburst. It makes me laugh like hearing a very funny joke. It's like the warm summer sun.

This happened yesterday when we were chatting after lunch in our backyard. It was one of those days with absolutely perfect temperature and extraordinarily blue sky. We sat together on our outdoor sofa and you ask me for a story. I stared up into the trees, where there were swaying leaves, to think of a suitable story. At that moment, you saw my "thinking" face and started to laugh. I guess you saw a bit of silliness triggered you and started to crack up. Seeing you laugh, I made more silly expressions and told the story. It ended up being a gazelle and a lion at a grocery store and the awkwardness both felt. 

There were other times as well. I actually managed to capture one with my phone (below). I will post it here. I'm not sure how long this will last, but I wanted to document it so we read it 20 years later and perhaps laugh about it some more.

Last weekend, when we went to Door Open near harbor front to visit STN 334 - Marine Fire station.


Random weeknight. When you were done packing clothes and I haven't even started. The hilarity, oh the hilarity.

Brampton Tournament 2026

Hi Ewan, It's been almost a year since your last tournament. Your Sensei pushed you to compete in this Brampton one to get back into the swing of things.  Today is the day. We all woke up late except Ma. But made it on time. When we got here, you were quite nervous. Frozen even. You kept staring at the tatamis in the warm up mat. First Trip to Asia

Dear Ewan, On January 22, you and mom took a month long trip fo to Hong Kong. Mainly to visit your 婆婆, 公公 and , 支支. It is the first time for you to travel to such a far place. And because I went to Hong Kong recently , I did not go with you guys. So it was just you and Mom. Here are some of the highlights of that trip from my perspective. Getting there: It is worth mentioning that this trip was supposed to take place in December. But our family taught covid and had to delay until January.  Month prior, mom already read tons of blogs about traveling with kids. She also systematically started making a packing list and reading up on health policies when entering Hong Kong. This trip was months in the making. Luck seems to be on our side since most Covid restrictions were shed. On the Sunday that you left, it was tough for me.
